Blair provided the offensive punch. He cracked a two-run shot in the 6th inning and blasted a two-run home run in the 8th inning. Minnesota tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th. Marcelino Lopez(2-2) got the win allowing 3 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Lopez got relief help from Dick Hall who gained credit for his 2nd save. Jim Perry(4-3) was tagged with the loss. He served up 3 homeruns in his 7 and 2/3 innings. With the win, Baltimore continued their winning ways; their streak now stands at 8 games and counting.
