Powell had a big day with his bat. He smashed a two-run homer in the 3rd inning, delivered a single in the 5th inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 8th inning. Baltimore had a total of 13 hits for the game. Cuellar(9-1) was the winner allowing 1 run for the game. Dave Boswell(3-4) was the loser. He was unable to control the Baltimore offense and allowed 10 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings.
