Baltimore won the game with a rally in the top of the 8th inning plating 2 runs. Paul Blair led off and he reached on an error. After an out was recorded, Boog Powell came to bat and clubbed a two-run home run. Despite losing, Kansas City out-hit Baltimore 10 to 6. McNally(15-6) lasted until the end allowing 2 runs for the win. Jim Rooker(9-8) absorbed the loss. He pitched 8 and 2/3 innings and surrendered 5 hits and 6 walks.
