Petrocelli provided much of the offense. He blasted a two-run home run in the 4th inning and rifled a three-run blast in the 5th inning. Boston banged out 12 hits on the night. The win was credited to Culp(9-14) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs. Bob Meyer(7-3) was given the loss. Boston scored big getting 6 runs off him in 4 and 2/3 innings. When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Culp offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands.
