In the 4th inning Baltimore scored 3 runs when they came up with 4 base hits. Cal Ripken opened up the inning nicely when he stroked a single. Eddie Murray came to the plate and ripped a base-knock. Fred Lynn then stroked a one-base hit, and an error was also committed, bringing in a run. Larry Sheets followed and he lined a base-hit as two more runners crossed the plate. Oakland threatened in the 9th but Baltimore was able to put down the rally. Ken Dixon(7-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 7 innings and allowing no runs. Don Aase recorded his 8th save. Chris Codiroli(4-4) took the loss. No one has been able to stop Baltimore lately as they lengthened their winning streak to 6 games.
