Murray provided much of the offense. He laced a base-knock scoring a run in the 3rd inning, clubbed a two-run home run in the 4th inning and tripled in the 6th inning. Baltimore provided plenty of action in the 4th inning which saw them score 5 runs on 6 hits. Baltimore out-hit Boston for the game, 21 hits to 11. Mike Boddicker(8-2) picked up the victory, allowing 4 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings. Tippy Martinez preserved the game for Boddicker, recording his his 1st save. Steve Crawford(6-4) took the loss.
