In a dramatic ending at Nationals Park the Washington Nationals won in their
last at-bat beating the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers by the count of 4 to 3.
The game was won by Washington when they scored a run in the 9th inning.
Daniel Murphy slapped a one-base hit. Two outs later Matt Wieters came up
and he drew a walk. Adrian Sanchez then doubled giving Washington the win
much to the delight of the home town crowd. Washington had only 6 hits for
the game.
The win went to Sean Doolittle(1-0) who allowed 1 run in 2 innings. Tony
Watson(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning giving
up 1 hit and 1 walk.

First baseman Todd Frazier slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI at Yankee Stadium
as the New York (AL) Yankees pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the
Cleveland Indians by the count of 4 to 3.
New York (AL) scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 9th inning
scoring 2 runs on 2 hits. After two outs Ronald Torreyes initiated the
scoring spurt when he laced a one-base hit. Frazier stepped into the
batter's box and he blasted a two-run home run making New York (AL)
victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. New York (AL) had 7
hits for the night.
Chasen Shreve(1-0) got the win allowing no runs in 2/3 of an inning. Cody
Allen(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. 'What a win!', Shreve said.
